Here's a 21st-century Christmas exchange for you: a woman responds to her neighbor's 16,000 Christmas light display by stringing up her own set of lights reading DITTO, going inside, getting online, and launching a Facebook page.
Kristina Green of Maricopa, Arizona, used about 600 red-and-green lights to write DITTO and put up an arrow pointing to her extravagantly-decorated neighbor, according to the Associated Press.
Green told the local ABC15 news team her goal is to get 1,000 likes on the page, titled "Ditto Sign -> In Maricopa, AZ." As of Tuesday, 263 people 'liked' the page. Check it out here, the "About" section is pretty intense:
"Ditto - 282 Green lights
Arrow - 93 Red Lights
8 Hours of Labor
1 Sheet of Plywood
Camera Flashes from people loving it - ENDLESS
Next door neighbor Eric Cyr has over 20,000 lights and all hand made decorations!!"
