A Nevada man who lost his iPad on an airplane found it in an unlikely place -- the home of his flight attendant.

The man used an app called Find My iPad to locate it inside the Oregon City, Oregon, home of 43-year-old Horizon Air flight attendant Wendy Ronelle Dye, The Associated Press reported.

Dye was arrested Friday evening.

The Nevada man said he had downloaded the anti-theft app only days before his Sept. 11 flight to Los Angeles, and forgot about it until he activiated the app on Wednesday, The Daily Mail reported.

Dye told police she kept the iPad after another passenger turned it over, finding it on an empty seat, The Oregonian reported.

She said she never used the iPad and planned to turn it over to airline officials, but police told Portland TV station KATU they found some of Dye's personal information on the device.

A spokeswoman for Alaska Airlines, which owns Horizon, told the AP Dye has been suspended.
