Canadian Lee Moir, 34, has been arrested and accused of coercing a 12-year-old girl to perform sex acts online by pretending to be pop star Justin Bieber.

Moir, a Toronto resident, was arrested after a police officer posed as a young girl online and arranged to meet with him, according to CNN. The 12-year-old girl who had been coerced by Moir lives with her family in New Jersey, where Assistant Prosecutor John Laurino said the girl started an email relationship with Moir, believing he was Bieber.

"He began making demands that she show herself on camera, that she engage in acts of undress, and acts of sexual activity as well," Laurino told CNN.

The Associated Press reported that Moir threatened to harm the girl's family repeatedly, and said he would post her videos and images on pornographic websites. Police believe he has been in contact with several young girls in Canada, the United States, Australia, France and the Philippines.

Const. Victor Kwong said Moir is facing a total of 10 charges, seven of which are related to the New Jersey victim, according to the AP. They include two counts of luring, invitation to sexual touching, making, possessing and distributing child pornography and extortion. The sting operation that resulted in Moir's arrest brought about a third count of luring as well as two counts of attempted exposure to a person under 16.

Moir is believed to have used Facebook and video chat site ooVoo to operate, using names like Justy.beber1, Lee ONeel, and Yodayoda001, according to the Atlantic Wire.
