The family of 8-year-old Jillian Thomas prayed for the dolphin that bit her.

At Orlando's SeaWorld, Jillian and other tourists were feeding dolphins when one hungry assailant bit her hand, perhaps thinking it was a fish.

“There was this little carton that you put the fish in and I fed them and then I pulled it and raised it up and when the dolphin saw it, it leaped at me and bit me and ate the carton,” Jillian said on Good Morning America. “It really, really hurt.”

ABC reported Jillian had three minor puncture wounds to her hand.

But Jillian wasn't angry. She was scared for the dolphin.

“I was afraid that the dolphin might get sick because of the paper carton,” she said. So for "Two nights we prayed for the dolphin,” said her mother Amy Thomas, according to ABC.

The incident happened on Nov. 21. The young girl's parents posted the video on Youtube to "pressure" SeaWorld.

"We thought, look, we've got this video, let's make it public, and let's try to put some pressure on SeaWorld to make some changes," Jillian's father, Jamie Thomas, said, according to Sky News.
