American skiing champion Lindsey Vonn remains in a Vail, Colorado hospital today awaiting test results after complaining of “severe intestinal pain.”
“Not feeling well,” she wrote on Twitter Nov. 8. “Had some chicken noodle soup then and watched (Roger) Federer beat (David) Ferrer. That made me feel better.”
The 28-year-old Minnesota native, who lives in Colorado, has raced just once this year, but didn’t finish.
“She told me she feels bad and has pain all over her body and that her bones are hurting,” Vonn’s ski technician, Heinz Haemmerle, told the AP.
“She’s been (to the hospital) two or three times. This is the first time she’s stayed overnight.”

She had just petitioned the International Ski Federation to race against the men on Nov. 24 in Lake Louise, Alberta. FIS, though, rejected her request.
Vonn is defending World Cup champion with two Olympic medals and four World Cup championships.
