With President Obama set to visit Mexico Thursday and Friday, there's a new problem to consider: The country's drug cartels seem to be ratcheting up the sophistication of their weapons.

This weapon was the first anti-aircraft machine gun seized in Mexico.

Here's more GlobalPost coverage on the cross-border weapons trade, as well as a helpful primer on Mexico's drug kingpins.
