At 23, Naziran Bibi, mother of two daughters, was forced by her mother-in-law to become the second wife of her brother-in-law, after her first husband died. Treated badly by her second husband and his first wife, acid was thrown on her face and torso by an unknown attacker when she was sleeping.

Nasreen Sharif is completely blind. She is from the small village of Shakna Ganeshpur in Punjab. At 15 she was attacked after rejecting a marriage proposal from a much older man.
