A massive fire at Nairobi's international airport shut down flights and services on Wednesday, as stranded passengers watched firefighters battle raging flames.
A large cloud of black smoke billowed out of the main arrival terminal at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, believed to be the fire's origin point, though it's still unclear how it began at around 9:00 a.m. local time.
It took firefighters four hours to subdue the flames, which destroyed sections of the airport. Domestic and cargo flights resumed the same day.
No serious injuries were reported.
