India: Assam floods cause millions to flee homes (PHOTOS)

The worst floods in over a decade have killed at least 80 people in the Indian state of Assam, according to Reuters.

Around two million people fled their homes and thousands of houses made of bamboo and straw were washed away by the flood waters, leaving thousands homeless. The authorities provided food, shelter and medicine as medical teams were deployed to prevent diseases from spreading and soldiers and rescue workers helped with relief efforts.
