Protests futile as France legalizes same-sex marriage
Tuesday, April 23rd, 2013

France on Tuesday became the world's 14th country to legalize same-sex marriage. Parliament voted 331 to 225 to approve the marriage bill, which also allows same-sex couples to adopt children, despite months of protests by anti-gay marriage activists. More protests are expected in reaction to the bill's passage, but supporters of the move are jubilant.
