An inmate plays a video game in one of the cushier areas of this police-run Brazilian jail. He's one of the "faixina," a privileged crew of prisoners who make deals with police to do cleanup and maintenance work in exchange for a comfier stay. In addition to video games, the faixina area has fans, mattresses and private space for conjugal visits.
