Secretary of Education Arne Duncan came out in support of legalizing same-sex marriage on May 7, 2012, a day after Vice President Joe Biden also expressed his support for gay marriage. President Barack Obama has endorsed civil unions but said his stance on gay marriage is still "evolving."
