Protesters hold a large cartoon depicting Peruvian Cardinal Monsignor Juan Luis Cipriani holding a dialog in which he is told “there is one out there who talks in favor of the poor, outs the merchants from the temples and is a friend of prostitutes”, to which he answers “I will stop that one from working too”, while hundreds of Christians rally in front of the Vatican’s nunciature building in Lima the evening of May 16, 2012, against Cardinal Cipriani, who they consider does not carry churches politics in the true spirit of Christianity.
