Appeals court hears challenge to Cali DNA collection law

State police are allowed to take DNA samples from anyone arrested on a felony, even if they're never charged.

The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco is hearing arguments Wednesday challenging a California law that requires police officers to take DNA samples from anyone arrested with a felony.
