Hurricane sandy damage recovery 2012 13

Nico Crowe cooks food to be given out to neighborhood residents on Avenue C in the East Village November 1, 2012 in New York as the city recovers from the effects of Hurricane Sandy. Crowe and other residents live in the apartment building behind her and organized the food and a cell phone charging station since people are without power. Residents donated food that would spoil and volunteered to help distribute it.
