The NRA has now publicly called for armed police officers to be placed in every school in America, attempting to put the onus back on government.

"If it's crazy to call for putting police and armed security in our schools to protect our children, then call me crazy," Wayne LaPierre said Sunday.

Speaking on Meet the Press, President Barack Obama said that he was skeptical of the NRA's proposal to put armed guards in schools.

The National Rifle Association is sending a representative to meet Biden, and the gun violence task force.
