A hall of the Brown v. Board of Education historical site screens video from some of the critical confrontations of the Civil Rights movement. The Supreme Court's Brown v. The Board of Education of Topeka decision in 1954 declared that segregated education was a denial of "equal protection of the laws" under the 14th Amendment. Today, some argue that income inequality has created significant divisions within Topeka's schools, much like race did half a century ago.
