Would you pay more for clothes to improve conditions for workers?

The death toll from a Bangladeshi factory building collapse on April 24 has risen to more than 1,000. Police have arrested a dozen people for allegedly forcing workers to show up even though cracks had appeared in the building the day before. The typical wage of a worker in the building was $0.14-$0.26 per hour. Would you be willing to pay more for your clothes to improve health, safety, and working conditions for foreign factory workers?
