France: Friends with the Front?

BRUSSELS — With French Socialist President Francois Hollande’s approval ratings close to a record low of just 23 percent, you'd think France's main opposition group would find reason to be cheerful. Instead, mainstream conservatives have found themselves gloomily divided over how to defend their voter base against a growing threat from the hard-line National Front as the center-right prepares for its first major electoral test since its defeat by Hollande last year.
