Muammar Gaddafi was buried Tuesday morning in a secret location in Libya, according to reports. The National Transitional Council says it did not want the grave to become a focus of either abuse or hero worship.
GlobalPost's decision to run a dispatch from correspondent Tracey Shelton this morning with a video showing a rebel fighter sodomizing Gaddafi with a stick or a knife has sparked a debate amongst some readers about whether the video was newsworthy and should have been shown.
“We found 53 decomposing bodies, apparently Gaddafi supporters, at an abandoned hotel in Sirte, and some had their hands bound behind their backs when they were shot,” Peter Bouckaert, emergencies director at Human Rights Watch, who investigated the killings, said in a press release.
