Two explosions struck near army and air force bases close to the Nigerian city of Kaduna on Tuesday, in the latest of a series to hit Nigeria’s northern region.
"We were in the church with my family when we heard the explosion. I just ran out," Timothy Onyekwere told Reuters. "Now I don't even know where my children or my wife are. I don't know how many were killed but there were many dead."
The trial of Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, 24, who is accused of attempting to detonate a bomb on board a flight bound for Detroit on Christmas Day 2009, is set to begin Tuesday.
