'Django Unchained' Hollywood premiere canceled after Newtown shooting

NEW DELHI — The most brutal recent incident happened Sunday. As America's Sandy Hook tragedy occupied television stations here, a 23-year-old physical therapist was the victim of a horrifying gang rape — in a New Delhi bus. As the curtained bus floated ominously through the city, the woman was raped repeatedly and sliced with a knife by her seven attackers, before being beaten with an iron rod and finally dumped on the roadside. She is now fighting to survive. The young man with her, a 28-year-old software engineer, was also beaten within an inch of his life.
