Police in Thailand have seized 3.8 million methamphetamine tablets in the country's largest drug bust in years. The haul was estimated as worth more than $31.7 million.

Bangkok's governor, Sukhumbhand Paribatra has ordered 11 of Bangkok's 50 districts to be evacuated. The evacuations are not mandatory, and many are staying to protect their homes and businesses.

Residents in Bangkok must brace themselves for waters around a meter high, Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra warned. Some parts of the city are already flooded and huge streams of water are heading for the city from the north.
