Thousands of South Africans and dozens of world dignitaries gathered in the pouring rain in Johannesburg to celebrate Mandela's life.

Amid pouring rain, South Africa hosted a celebration of the life of Nelson Mandela at a memorial service in Johannesburg. At the soccer stadium where Mandela made his final public appearance in 2010, tens of thousands of South Africans and scores of foreign dignitaries paid their tributes to one of the most respected figures in modern history.
