Richard Byrne is Vice President and Director of Communications and Marketing for GlobalPost, overseeing communications, marketing, and public relations strategy. Mr. Byrne has 20 years experience in communications and has served as communications strategist and spokesperson for acclaimed news organizations. He was most recently Director of Communications and Interactive for Public Affairs Television, the company that produces "Bill Moyers Journal" for PBS. He has served as communications director for the Emmy-winning weekly newsmagazine "Now on PBS" and headed up communications for PBS' acclaimed documentary series "Frontline." Mr. Byrne also served as VP of Marketing for a publicly traded technology company and has been quoted often in national media, including in the Washington Post, the Los Angeles Times, the Daily News, and the Hollywood Reporter, among others. He is a graduate of Hartwick College in Oneonta, New York and holds a master's in communications from Emerson College in Boston, MA.
