This week in Argnetina, senators approved a gender identity law by a vote of 55-0 which would allow adults who want sex-change surgery or hormone therapy will be able to get it as part of their public or private health care plans. Argentina was also Latin America's first nation to legalize gay marriage two years ago, enabling thousands of same-sex couples to marry and enjoy the same legal rights that apply to married heterosexual couples. What is the state of gay/transgender rights around the world? I would like to see a survey of US allies and their laws governing gay marriage and gender identity laws.
