I have read that animals like Orangutans are used in prostitution rings in Thailand. This is not a highly publicized fact yet it's quite horrific and connected to other local forms of cruelty and abuse. Why and how has this become a lucrative business? What is being done to stop it? How does it tie into other forms of prostitution involving in particular children? |

| Penny pincher suggests: |
This week, Canada decided to stop producing/using pennies. It's reported that pennies cost more to produce than they are worth, and with inflation, it seems that Canadians don't bother to use them anymore. Do these reasons apply equally well in the United States? Is the US next? Do we really need pennies? What is the argument for and against losing these copper coins? |
