Frank Lampard equalled and then broke Bobby Tambling's Chelsea record of 202 goals by scoring twice as the Blues came from behind to secure a 2-1 win away to Aston Villa in the Premier League on Saturday. England international Lampard struck in the 61st minute at Villa Park when he collected a pass from Eden Hazard, shifted the ball onto his left foot and let fly from some 15 yards. His goal drew the visitors level at 1-1 after both sides had had a man sent-off in Ramires (Chelsea) and Christian Benteke, who opened the scoring for Villa.

Wigan Athletic manager Roberto Martinez says speculation linking him with the Everton job will not distract him from a shot at FA Cup glory on Saturday. Martinez is believed to be among the leading candidates to replace Manchester United-bound David Moyes as Everton manger. But the Spaniard insists his focus for the time being is on beating Manchester City in the FA Cup final at Wembley Stadium and safeguarding Wigan's future in the Premier League. "At this moment in time it would be a waste of time," Martinez said when asked if there had been any contact by Everton.

Wayne Rooney has hit back at claims he removed the name Manchester United from his Twitter homepage as part of an attempt to force a transfer from the Premier League champions.
