More convictions for Brazil police massacre as trial concludes

A Brazilian court Wednesday handed 15 policemen 48-year jail terms for their roles in a 1992 massacre of 111 prisoners at Carandiru jail in Sao Paulo, bringing the total convictions to 73 as the trial concluded, a court spokesman said. Netflix to make series about drug lord Pablo Escobar

Los Angeles, Apr 2 (EFE).- Digital content provider Netflix said it planned to produce a series about Pablo Escobar, the most notorious drug lord in Colombia's history, that will be directed by Brazilian Jose Padilha and star his countryman, Wagner Moura. "Narcos" will be filmed in Colombia and make its debut in early 2015, with the first season consisting of 10 episodes, Netflix said in a statement.
