'British soldier' butchered in suspected Islamist attack

A man believed to be a British soldier was brutally murdered by suspected Islamists near a London barracks on Wednesday in an attack Prime Minister David Cameron said appeared to be terror-related. Cameron called the attack "appalling", and said: "There are strong indications that it is a terrorist incident." But Gil McGillivary of Hawkesbury, Ontario, says he isn't giving up on his son, Caleb, as the 24-year-old faces a murder charge in New Jersey. Caleb, also known as Kai, is accused of fatally beating a lawyer found dead May 13 in his northern New Jersey home. Prosecutors say the lawyer had met Caleb in New York. Gil McGillivary says he lost custody of his son when the boy was 8.

Golf: Rain dampens debut of LPGA Bahamas event

One broadcaster showed footage of one of the men at the scene carrying a blood-covered knife and meat cleaver saying to the camera: "We swear by almighty Allah we will never stop fighting you."

Russian punk band member starts hunger strike to protest court ruling
