BEIJING, Dec. 6 (Xinhua) -- China's treasury bond futures opened lower on Friday, with the contract for settlement in December, the most actively traded, opening 0.402 yuan lower at 90.998 yuan (14.86 U.S. dollars). The contract for settlement in March 2014 dropped 0.036 yuan to open at 91.840 yuan, while the contract for settlement in June 2014 edged down 0.070 yuan to open at 92.306 yuan. The contracts are agreements to buy or sell treasury bonds at a predetermined price and set date. They allow investors to bet on or profit from the movements in the value of the bonds.

The Jan. 2014 contract gained 0.03 percent to end at 2,486.8 points. The March 2014 contract rose 0.06 percent to 2,493.2 points, while the June 2014 contract went up 0.08 percent to 2,496.4 points.

BEIJING, Dec. 5 (Xinhua) -- China's treasury bond futures closed lower on Thursday, with the contract for settlement in December 2013, the most actively traded, down 0.242 yuan to close at 91.368 yuan (14.91 U.S. dollars). The contract for settlement in March 2014 closed at 91.824 yuan, down 0.352 yuan while the contract for settlement in June 2014 edged down 0.354 yuan to finish at 92.310 yuan.

The Jan. 2014 contract gained 1.1 percent to end at 2,485.8 points. The March 2014 contract rose 1.14 percent to 2,493.6 points, while the June 2014 contract went up 1.09 percent to 2,494.4 points.
