SEC says Knight Capital will pay $12M to settle investigation into August 2012 trading glitch

NEW YORK, N.Y. - Financial services company Knight Capital Americas will pay $12 million to settle charges it violated SEC rules in connection with a costly trading glitch in August 2012. The Securities and Exchange Commission said Wednesday that Knight didn't have adequate safeguards to limit the risks posed by its access to markets.

Kingsway plans rights offering to regain compliance with NYSE listing standards

TORONTO - Kingsway Financial Services Inc. says it plans a rights offering to regain compliance with listing standards on the New York Stock Exchange. The Toronto-based holding company (TSX:KFS) (NYSE:KFS) involved in property and casualty insurance, said Tuesday that it was informed June 7 by the NYSE that it was below continued listing criteria. That was because its average total market capitalization over a recent 30 consecutive trading day period was less than $50 million at the same time that reported shareholders' equity was also less than $50 million.
