Cher set to appear on 'The Voice' season finale on June 18

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Cher will appear on the season finale of the singing competition series "The Voice" on June 18, making her first live TV performance in more than 10 years, NBC said on Monday. The singer and actress, who has won an Oscar as well as Grammy and Emmy awards, will perform "Woman's World," a new single from her album of the same name which is to be released in September, her first in 12 years.

LOS ANGELES, Calif. - The head of the company promoting Michael Jackson's ill-fated comeback concerts told jurors Thursday that he never consulted a mental health professional to help the singer despite two high-level show workers suggesting it was necessary. AEG Live CEO Randy Phillips testified about emails he sent and received in the week before Jackson's death, including a production manager's characterization that the entertainer's condition was "deteriorating."

Vienna's Kunst Haus hosts exhibition of Linda McCartney's work

Vienna, Jun 6 (EFE).- Vienna's Kunst Haus is hosting an exhibition of the work of Linda McCartney, the late wife of former Beatle Paul McCartney, who was known for her photographs of the world of rock 'n' roll. "The exhibition, which is the first comprehensive retrospective of McCartney's works worldwide, presents 190 of her iconic photographs of sixties rock and roll, her family life and nature," the museum said in a statement.

Beyonce headlines sell-out UK gig to promote gender equality

The concert, which organizers hoped would reach a billion viewers, was staged by Chime For Change, a charity started by Italian fashion house Gucci which crowdfunds donations for projects to advance gender equality in more than 70 countries.

Daddy Yankee, Prince Royce bring Latino energy to Madrid concert

San Juan, May 31 (EFE).- Puerto Rican reggaeton star Daddy Yankee and Dominican singer Prince Royce will infuse with Latino energy a concert on June 17 at Vistalegre Palace in Madrid, the organizers said. Daddy Yankee and Prince Royce will then take the show to Barcelona on June 30. Singer Mariah Carey leaving 'American Idol'

Ringo Starr unveils unseen Beatles photos in e-book

(Reuters) - Former Beatle Ringo Starr is lifting the lid on a collection of previously unseen photographs of the Fab Four in their heyday from his personal collection, in a new photography book due out next month. "Photograph," which will be released as an e-book on Apple's iBookstore on June 12, will coincide with a Grammy Museum exhibit on Starr, entitled "Ringo: Peace & Love," the book's publishers said on Wednesday. A limited-edition hand-bound book signed by Starr will be available for purchase in December.

Two 'Rites', no riot, for Stravinsky centenary

By Michael Roddy PARIS (Reuters) - Right on cue, the "chosen one" danced herself to death, twice in a row, for the centenary of Igor Stravinsky's pagan and pulsating "The Rite of Spring" ballet on Wednesday at the Theatre des Champs-Elysees. But this time, unlike at the premiere in the same theatre on May 29, 1913, there was no near riot, though there were a few boos for the second, contemporary version of the ballet.
