A highlight reel of Don Cherry's controversial comments

Over the years the commentary coming from Hockey Night in Canada pundit Don Cherry has sometimes been more colourful than his suits, and that's saying something. Here's a sample of some of his more eyebrow-raising remarks.

Men's locker-room no place for women says hockey commentator Don Cherry

TORONTO - Don Cherry says the men's locker-room is no place for a woman. The outspoken CBC hockey broadcaster made the comments during his weekly Coach's Corner segment of "Hockey Night in Canada" on Saturday night while discussing the controversy around Chicago Blackhawks defenceman Duncan Keith. Keith was criticized earlier in the week after delivering what some considered a sexist post-game putdown to a female radio reporter in Vancouver.

Don Cherry's views on women in sports locker rooms are his own, says CBC

Don Cherry isn't speaking for the CBC when he says women have no place in sports locker-rooms, the head of media relations for the public broadcaster said Monday. But Chuck Thompson says the CBC has no plans to discipline him. Thompson was reacting to the continued flak over Cherry's comments Saturday on his "Coach's Corner" segment of "Hockey Night in Canada."
