The 2013/2014 school year in Latvia will begin on September 2 and end on May 30 next year, according to the Cabinet of Ministers' regulations approved by the government today.The next school year will end on May 30, 2014 for children in grades 1-8 and 10-11, on June 13, 2014 for ninth grade students and on June 20, 2014 for 12th grade students.The first semester will last from September 2 until December 20, while the second semester will begin on January 6 and end on May 30 next year for children in grades 1-8 and 10-11.
