Hermès brings 'Festival des Métiers' to London

French luxury brand Hermès is bringing a team of its artisans to London for a workshop to show off their skills and display the label's handcrafted specialities.  Ever wondered about the handiwork that goes into creating one of the Hermès brand's Birkin bags? The famous bags, which were named after British singer Jane Birkin, can vary in cost between $9,000 and $150,000 depending on the materials used.

Ageless Chanel celebrates its 100th birthday

Madrid, May 13 (EFE).- France invented glamour, but Coco Chanel conceived sophistication, and her legendary fashion house is celebrating its 100th birthday without suffering from the ravages of time. Chanel remains the queen of the Paris fashion shows a century after Coco Chanel opened her first boutique in Deauville. The fashion house is marking its centennial under the leadership of creative director Karl Lagerfeld, who has rolled out a short film, "Once Upon a Time," that tells the story of the start of Chanel.

Kiplagat seeks another term as Kenya athletics chief

Isaiah Kiplagat is set to become Kenya's longest-serving Kenyan athletics boss when he is re-elected for a sixth term on Tuesday. The 68-year-old former civil servant, who has been at the helm of the federation since 1992, will be running unopposed at the association's annual general meeting in Nairobi. But Kiplagat's long-serving general secretary, David Okeyo will have to relinquish his seat, which has been scrapped, and a new post of CEO will be created under the new structure for Athletics Kenya.
