Liaoning names new coach

BEIJING, Nov. 27 (Xinhua) -- Gao Sheng, a former member of the Chinese national team, has been named as the new coach of Super League soccer club Liaoning Hongyun, the club said on its website on Wednesday. Gao started his career in Liaoning and moved to a Japanese club in the 1990s. In 2012, he was an assistant coach of Hangzhou Greentown FC. Before Gao, the 51-year-old Ma Lin, also a former national team member, had been coaching Liaoning for six years. The club currently ranks 10th in the 2013 Chinese Super League.
