Ghanaian international Jordan Ayew said on Tuesday that he has no intention of quitting Ligue 1 giants Marseille and may even finish his career at the Velodrome. "I have no intention of leaving and I will be here next year," the younger brother of team-mate Andre said. "I am only 21 and players who are 28 dream of playing for OM. As for me, I am very happy here and I could finish my career at Marseille. "I feel at home and the club has helped me enormously and I want to pay them back," added the player, who has picked up seven goals this season.

Football: Ghana's Paintsil posts bail after arrest

Former Fulham, West Ham and Leicester City defender John Paintsil was released on bail Saturday after his arrest over allegations that he stabbed his wife, Ghana's police told AFP. Police spokesman Freeman Tetty said Paintsil had been arrested on Friday after reportedly assaulting both his wife and a neighbour in their upscale Accra neighbourhood. The footballer spent the night in prison.

Former Fulham, West Ham and Leicester City defender John Paintsil was being held by police in Ghana on Friday after his wife was stabbed. An Accra police spokesman told AFP they were called to a domestic incident in a suburb of the capital and Paintsil was arrested for allegedly chasing his wife into the garden of a neighbour and stabbing her. The spokesman said the woman is receiving hospital treatment for serious eye wounds after collapsing following the assault.

Football: Boateng agrees to join Olympiakos: reports

Greek champions Olympiakos have reached agreement with experienced Ghanaian international midfielder Derek Boateng to join them, Greek media reported Monday.
