Germany number one Angelique Kerber cancelled out Ana Ivanovic's earlier victory on Saturday to level the Fed Cup World Group Play-off tie at 1-1 between Germany and Serbia with three rubbers still to come. Former world number one Ana Ivanovic gave last year's finalists a dream start in Stuttgart by seeing off Fed Cup debutant Mona Barthel in three sets for a 7-6 (7/5), 2-6, 6-2 win in the opening match. The 25-year-old Ivanovic was looking to give Serbia a chance of avoiding relegation to World Group II for the first time since 2011.
