Birmingham City owner Carson Yeung insisted he made his fortune through legitimate stock trading as he pleaded not guilty to money-laundering charges in court Monday at the long-delayed start of his trial. The former hairdresser-turned-football tycoon from Hong Kong was arrested and charged in June 2011 with five counts of knowingly dealing in ill-gotten gains worth tens of millions of dollars.

Reading and QPR were relegated from the Premier League on Sunday after the strugglers played out a 0-0 draw at the Madejski Stadium which ended their survival hopes. A win for either side would have kept alive their slender chances of staying up at least until Aston Villa's clash with Sunderland on Monday.
