SEOUL, May 23 (Yonhap) -- Senior diplomats from South Korea and China will hold their regular talks early next month with President Park Geun-hye's planned visit to Beijing expected to top the agenda, a foreign ministry official said Thursday. The vice ministerial-level "Strategic Dialogue," the sixth of its kind, will be held in Beijing on June 3, the official said on the condition of anonymity, adding that First Vice Foreign Minister Kim Kyou-hyun will attend the talks.

China charges six in sex video "extortion" case

BEIJING (Reuters) - A court in the city of Chongqing has charged six people with working together to blackmail government officials by recording videos of them having sex, the official Xinhua news agency reported on Wednesday. The six were charged with extortion on Monday, Xinhua said, citing a statement from judicial authorities in Chongqing, where they are slated to be tried.

Chinese leader to visit Mexico June 4-6

Chinese President Xi Jinping will visit Mexico next month for talks with Mexican counterpart Enrique Pena Nieto, lawmakers and business leaders before traveling to the United States, the Mexican foreign ministry said Tuesday. Xi, who will travel with his wife Peng Liyuan, will also meet with members of the Chinese community in Mexico City during his June 4-6 visit. After visiting the capital, the Chinese leader will tour the Mayan pyramids of Chichen Itza in the eastern state of Yucatan.

Mexican foreign relations secretary meets with Chinese officials

Beijing, May 20 (EFE).- Mexican Foreign Relations Secretary Jose Antonio Meade met with Chinese officials on Monday in Beijing to discuss how the two countries can expand bilateral relations. The visit was designed to follow up on the meeting in April between Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto and his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping, at the Boao Forum, known as the "Asian Davos," Meade told Efe. "What we want is that a dialgoue that got off to a good start, in which the two countries expressed support for the idea of strengthening it, continues," Meade said.
