Trinidad opens tour with Back-to-back T20 wins

Trinidad and Tobago women’s cricket team had triumphant starts to their tour of South Africa by winning their two T20 matches in contrasting styles over the weekend. The visitors opened with a crushing nine wicket win over Gauteng but later were forced to scrape through needing a super over to pull-off a two run win over Northerns. A decent all round performance from Kirbyina Alexander led Trinidad who bundled out Gauteng for only 42 runs in 18.4 overs with no batswoman reaching double figures. Samantha Bissoon took two wickets for four runs while Alexander bagged two for six.
