Olympiakos sink CSKA Moscow to reach Euroleague final

LONDON (Reuters) - Olympiakos Piraeus crushed CSKA Moscow 69-52 in the first of two Euroleague Final Four games at London's O2 Arena on Friday, advancing easily to the final for the second year running. In a rematch of the climax to last year's European season, the defending champions pulled ahead of their Russian opponents in the first quarter and never looked back, leading 40-28 at halftime.

Fenerbahce beats Besiktas in TKBL derby

FIBA EuroLeague Women runner-up Fenerbahce defeated archrivals Besiktas 89-67 in their women's Turkish Basketball League (TKBL) encounter on Wednesday to finish at the top of the league's regular season. Fenerbahce was the dominant side from the beginning and led all quarters with scores of 22-9, 47-26 and 62-42 before wrapping up the game 89-67. Fenerbahce finished the regular season with two defeats and 24 wins, while Besiktas failed to make it into the playoffs, ranking 12th with six wins and 20 defeats.
