14 insurgents, 3 soldiers killed in Nigeria offensive

The Nigerian army's offensive against Boko Haram Islamists in the north of the country has left 14 insurgents and three soldiers dead, the defence ministry said Sunday in its latest toll from the operation. "After a mop up of scenes of battle (since Saturday), 14 terrorists were confirmed dead... Nigeria imposes 24-hour curfew in restive northern city

Nigeria's military on Saturday imposed a round-the-clock curfew in parts of the northeastern city of Maiduguri, the home base of Boko Haram Islamists, as a massive offensive against the insurgents presses on across the region.
