BUENOS AIRES, Feb 7 (Reuters) - Juan Roman Riquelme continued to keep everyone guessing about whether he would play again ahead of the final stage of the Argentine championship that starts this weekend. Having walked out on Boca Juniors in July and turned them down last month despite the return of record title-winning coach Carlos Bianchi, Riquelme has hinted he might want to wear their colours again after all.

Valencia have loaned Argentine midfielder Fernando Gago to Buenos Aires club Velez Sarsfield on loan until the end of the season, the Spanish side announced on their website on Thursday. The Argentine international midfielder only joined Valencia last summer from Real Madrid, where he had fallen out of favour and had been farmed out on loan to Roma. The 26-year-old started his career with Boca Juniors before moving to Real Madrid in January 2007 at the same time as compatriot Gonzalo Higuain.
