Villa scored in the 7th and 26th minutes and is now the leading goalmaker for the Tigres, who are in first place. The first tally came on a free kick by Lucas Lobos that rebounded and Villa just needed to tap it to beat the Cruz Azul goalie. The second came when Damian Alvarez fired but missed, with Villa knocking in the rebound with his right foot.
