SEOUL, Oct. 21 (Yonhap) -- The number of toxic gas leaks at the country's industrial complexes have surged this year causing injuries and property damages, a report showed on Monday.
According to the report compiled by the Korea Industrial Complex Corp., there were seven cases of gas leak so far this year, compared with three cases in 2012 and one in 2010. The report was submitted to Rep. Kim Han-pyo of the ruling Saenuri Party for a parliamentary audit.
The country has seen some fatal gas leaks this year, which killed 12 workers and injured nearly 35 people.
