SEOUL, Dec. 27 (Yonhap) -- POSCO, South Korea's biggest steelmaker, said Friday that it has completed its non-oriented electrical sheet plant in India.
POSCO spent about US$140 million to build the plant whose construction began in October 2011, the steelmaker said in an emailed statement.
The plant, located in the Vile Bhagad industrial complex near Mumbai, a western port city, will produce 300,000 tons of non-oriented electrical sheets annually, POSCO said. The sheets are used mainly in metal pins of electrical products like motors.
