Switchboard damaged during ANA Boeing 787 training flight

A power switchboard was partially damaged by heat during a Boeing 787 Dreamliner training flight conducted by All Nippon Airways Co. on May 4, ANA officials said Thursday. ANA attributed the problem to faulty maintenance by Boeing Co. and said the damage was not caused by the modified battery system for the jet. Japan's transport ministry ordered ANA and Japan Airlines Co. to check whether similar problems have occurred during other Dreamliner flights.

Japan's ANA cancels another 379 Dreamliner flights

TOKYO, Jan 26 (Reuters) - All Nippon Airways Co, which has the biggest fleet of Dreamliner jets, on Saturday cancelled another 379 flights scheduled for Feb. 1-18, almost doubling the number of its cancellations since one of the planes made an emergency landing. The latest cancellations brings the number of ANA flights stopped since the Jan. 16 emergency landing in western Japan to 838. All Dreamliners have been grounded since Jan. 17 due to unexplained battery problems.

TOKYO, Jan 25 (Reuters) - All Nippon Airways Co, which has the biggest fleet of Boeing Co 787 Dreamliner jets, on Friday cancelled another 78 flights scheduled for Jan. 29-31 - bringing total cancellations at the Japanese carrier since one of the planes made an emergency landing on Jan. 16 to 459. All Dreamliners have been grounded since Jan. 17 due to unexplained battery problems.
