Misbah leads Pakistan to series-levelling win

(Reuters) - Misbah-ul-Haq played a captain's innings with an unbeaten 57 as he steered Pakistan to a six-wicket victory over South Africa in the rain-affected second one-day international at Centurion on Friday. Pakistan speedster Mohammad Irfan tore through the top order and South Africa were restricted to a modest 191 which the tourists passed with more than four overs to spare in a game that had been reduced to 44 per side by a rain delay.

LAHORE, March 8 (Reuters) - For Sana Mir, the captain of the Pakistan women's cricket team, the successful and peaceful completion of a national Twenty20 event this week was a giant step forward for women's rights in the conservative and troubled country. The six-team tournament, named after former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, was held at the Pakistan Cricket Board headquarters at the Gaddafi stadium under a heavy security blanket and concluded on Thursday night in a colourful finale.
